Finding Christmas gifts can be a challenge! So why not create something homemade? Easy to make, the Cookie Jar costs you almost nothing and will delight the sweet tooths among you.

The "Cookie Jar," a jar of cookie ingredients, is a personalized gourmet gift that can be given on any occasion. It consists of layers of basic ingredients arranged in a jar, usually transparent, to appreciate the colorful lines that the ingredients create. The jar is then personalized with ribbon, twine, or topped with a small label. Beyond being visually appealing, the Cookie Jar is also practical as it allows the lucky recipient to quickly whip up cookies (hence sometimes called SOS cookies).

We're almost sure you already have most of the ingredients in your pantry, so put on your apron and join us in the kitchen to make a beautiful Cookie Jar.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 120 grams of flour
  • 6 grams of baking powder
  • 5 grams of food-grade baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 90 grams of oat flakes
  • 170 grams of chocolate chips
  • 90 grams of organic coconut sugar
  • 100 grams of white sugar
  • A bit of decoration and creativity.

You can also add pecans, hazelnuts...

Steps:

  • Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Place this mixture at the bottom of the jar.
  • Then, add the other ingredients in the following order: coconut sugar, white sugar, oat flakes, and chocolate chips.
  • Simply add 115g of butter and one egg at the time of preparation to make the cookies.

If you don't fill the jar to the top with ingredients, you can add cotton to secure the ingredients in the jar. This way, you'll keep beautiful distinct layers.
