You too Cindy, do you always cook too much rice when you cook? So to avoid wasting, we've concocted a little anti-waste recipe for you. With your leftover rice, we suggest you make an express rice pudding in the microwave. It's a very easy and super quick recipe to prepare and it makes you a delicious homemade dessert. 

So, of course, our rice pudding will taste different from real rice pudding prepared according to the rules of the art, but it still has the advantage of being much faster. In addition to that, it is easily customizable, so we offer you 3 versions of this express rice pudding to say no to waste:

  • Chocolate rice pudding
  • Cinnamon rice pudding
  • Rice pudding with raisins

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • leftover rice
  • Milk or vegetable milk
  • Granulated sugar
  • For the topping: pastry chocolate, cinnamon, raisins

Steps :

  • Put the rest of the rice in a bowl.
  • Add the milk until the rice is soaked (but do not add too much, do not drown the rice).
  • Add powdered sugar (1 to 2 tablespoons depending on the amount of rice).
  • Microwave for 3-4 minutes (make sure not to boil the milk).
  • Arrange in different ramekins and put the topping on the rice pudding: crushed chocolate in the 1st, raisins in the 2nd and a little cinnamon in the last, then mix.
  • To be enjoyed warm or cold after having put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes.

Don't hesitate to put bananas, caramel or absolutely anything you like in your pudding rice.
