Do you want to prepare a romantic dinner for Valentine's Day Cindy and you don't know what to make for dessert? Look no further and read what follows, we have concocted a dessert that will have its effect for sure. Whether you know how to bake or not, this recipe is very easy to make. With only 4 ingredients, we show you how to surprise your lover.
Do you remember our article on Valentine's Day where we advised you not to buy roses because they are not a seasonal flower? Well, with our recipe for rose-shaped apple tarts, you can still offer a pretty rose to taste!
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 red apple
- 1 rectangular puff pastry
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
Steps :
- Cut the apple into slices. Make good thin slices (help yourself with a mandolin if you prefer).
- Immerse the strips in water and add the juice of 1/2 a lemon (to prevent the apple from oxidizing).
- Put 2 minutes in the microwave (if the apple pieces are not soft enough, put back a little in the microwave).
- Cut the puff pastry in the direction of the width to have 6 strips of dough of identical size.
- In a ramekin, put the strawberry jam with a little water so that the jam is more liquid.
- Spread a little jam over the entire length of the puff pastry.
- Put the apple slices on top of the dough, making them stick out a little.
- Fold the puff pastry over the apple pieces.
- Roll the dough all the way to turn it into a pretty rose.
- Place the rose in a muffin tin.
- Do the same with all the pieces of puff pastry.
- Put in the oven for about 35 minutes at 190°C.
- To be enjoyed warm.
You can replace the strawberry jam with a little compote or a pastry cream. Let your imagination run wild!
