100% natural Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous earth (silicon dioxide) is a natural material made up of fossils of microscopic marine algae called diatoms. It is used as a multi-purpose household product for the maintenance of the house, the garden and for places frequented by animals (cushions, baskets, cages, etc.). This ecological powder will serve you well around the house. Thanks to its abrasive and drying action, it will quickly dry and clean impregnated surfaces.

Diatomaceous earth deodorizes and strongly absorbs humidity: interesting properties for animal bedding, cushions and baskets, but also for urine, stains on fabrics, leather, … In addition, thanks to its fine and abrasive structure, it will clean without scratching and shine stainless steel, copper, pewter and silverware.

In agriculture, Diatomaceous Earth is used as a natural insecticide to control aphids and also as a repellent against slugs and snails.

Tips for use:

If you're wondering how to use diatomaceous earth, here are some of its uses:

• To clean floors or hard surfaces: make a paste by adding water to the diatomaceous earth and apply to the surface to be cleaned, rub then rinse with clean water.
• Deodorize and absorb animal resting places: sprinkle the places with 10 to 30 g/m² of diatomaceous earth. Repeat the operation once or twice a week.
• Absorb liquids and odors: Sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the area and leave for 15 minutes. Then suck up the powder.
• Kill aphids and mites: sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the leaves and stems of the plant. Repeat application every 2 weeks or as needed.
• Repel slugs and snails: make a circle around the plant with the powder. Repeat the action every 2 weeks or as needed.

Storage Tip:

Store in a dry place away from moisture. Close the jar well after use.

Precautions for use:

Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, wash thoroughly with water. Diatomaceous earth can be irritating to the lungs if inhaled in large quantities, so it is important to wear a protective mask and gloves when using it.
