10% alcohol vinegar
Alcohol vinegar or white vinegar is a essential in our kitchen. It is traditionally used for food use but it also works wonders as a household product. It is a basic product, inexpensive and non-toxic to the man and the environment.
This alcohol vinegar is made in France by natural alcohol fermentation of vegetable raw materials from organic farming. It contains 10% acetic acid. This is the only concentration authorized in food. 12% or 14% vinegars, for example, are more concentrated and are therefore only used for cleaning with certain precautions to be taken.
Cooking uses
If you're wondering how to use white vinegar in the kitchen, here are some of its uses:
- Food preservative: to make vegetable pickles for example.
- Wash your salad: put a little vinegar in the first wash water. Leave to soak then rinse with clear water.
- Marinate your meat: mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of oil and the spices you want.
