Today very cultivated in France, Lavender arrived from Persia in the year 100. In the Middle Ages, the monks looked into the properties of lavender and began to use it as an anti-infective.

Lavender is now particularly used in perfumery and cosmetics on the one hand for its good smell and on the other hand for its many properties.

Essential oil (EO) of lavender is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers. It is necessary to wait for flowering in summer to be able to extract the EO. On average, it will take 100kg of plant to obtain between 500g and 1kg of essential oil.

Precautions for use:

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use in pregnant women under 3 months. Do not use in children under 3 months.

Do not use this EO in case of hypotension or anticoagulant treatment because it is a light blood thinner.
