Known since Antiquity, the laurel was used to crown victors, doctors or sages. Surely you all have in mind the image of Julius Caesar with his golden laurel wreath. Also in the Middle Ages, scholars and medical graduates were crowned with laurels. Moreover, he gave the origin to the words "winner" and "baccalaureate".

The Noble Laurel is a tree of the Lauraceae family found in Southern Europe and the Middle East.

Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and its yield is extremely low. It takes 100kg of leaves to obtain only 130ml of essential oil.

Precautions for use:

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use in pregnant women under 3 months. Pregnant women over 3 months can use it in cutaneous application and diffusion. Do not use in children under 6 years old. For people with asthma and epilepsy, please ask your doctor for advice.

EO is irritating and allergenic, which is why it is necessary to dilute it to 20% in vegetable oil. It is also best to test it before using it (1 to 2 drops in the bend of the elbow and wait 24 hours for there to be no reaction).
